March 31st (night) - April 5th (night) 2010

One word...ITALY!!!!!!! HELL YEAH BABY!!! :-D ha-ha

Ok, so where we left off was where? Oh RIGHT. So I had met my father and we immediately go and decided where to find some food. Luckily we found it right next to where we were standing. A HOT DOG PLACE. Grabbing our food we go and board our train. We were scrumdiliumtioning...((I have no idea if that is a real word, sorry :P)). Anyway we talked and laughed and were telling each other jokes, yet mostly we were trying to think of what my mom would have in store for us. See, unless you know my family pretty well, you may not know that my mother is the Traveling Agent Extraordinar. Ha-ha my mother is just very very very good at what she does. She is like a breath of fresh spring air. I love my mother very much and my father very much. My father is like the smell of wet dew after a light summer rain. :) Sorry was being a little poetic.

Anyway we finally ge to Milan - where we would need to switch trains. What occured next was...wow...just...wow. We get there and we dont see our connection so tagging along all of our suitcases we go galavanting around searching for information desk. When we finally see it we notice that it is closed. We then looked again on the screen displaying differnt trains, trying to find ours. We see a number and we look at our tickets the number matched (just not name). YET the train was leaving in 10 minutes and we were on the very bottom level. My dad cussing up a storm made me dash illegally up different routes so we could get the train. After racing towards it and setteling in to our compartment - it was a sleeper train- we waited...and waited...and waited. Apparently a lady was causing quite a scene and disturbance. So we left Milan 40 MINUTES LATE...After being sure we were checked in and settled we decided to explore the cabin. It was hilarious someone had stolen one pillow, one blanket, and the towels. My daddy not wanting me to freeze said if I took the top bed he would let me have the blankets. Needless to say we still both froze for we hadnt realized that we didnt shut the window all the way until the next morning. After the train conductor had came and knocked on our door telling us we would be getting off at the next stop.

April 1st - April 4th day

We finally get to Rome early the next morning and we wait around for my mother and sister. Let me first tell everyone a little about my sister, she is not a morning person. End of story X-D Anyway, mom was all happy to see us and was apparently trying to get to us fast but kept starting to go the wrong way. We finally call her and say we are at 25 and she had come in at 26, she kept saying " we are going to take the elevator and meet you". My dad looked at me and rolled his eyes while I said laughing "no mom! WE ARE AT 25! Just walk STRAIGHT!" After about 5 minutes of yelling into the phone my mother finally understood to simply go straight. In her defense it was loud , she hadn't slept and tons of people were walkign towards the Elevator. Anyway I run and hug mommy and I swear she had tears in her eyes already >.>...while my sister was just grumpy haha. Anyway after checking into the hotel and sleeping a little we decided to start to see Rome...and so it went...

We saw The Vatican, Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain, tons of churches, Castle Angel, went on a river cruise...yet the most impressive for me of all of them was....

THE COLOSSEUM!!!

We get there and ...just it was so magnificent. You almost imagine yourself walking into that thing 2000 years ago when it was brand new. Truly, if you have a chance in heaven GO TO THE COLOSSEUM. It is so impressive...I will never forget it.

We saw many other things, yet most off all we just connected as a family. THOSE STORIES THOUGH are private :-p and you will have to ask me individually as well as my family.

Anyway We left to Venice on the 4th (night)and word of warning - if you are easily sea sick DO NOT THINK YOU WILL BE OK IN AN INDOOR TAXI. I am not normaly such a wuss but for some reason I get easily motion sickness if I do not get fresh air. So when we took all of the suitaces on a water taxi - since automobiles are prohibited being that its a water city- I made the mistake of going into the room instead of staying outside in the cold air. BOY was I wrong, I got so sick my face I felt turned a limeish green. My dad was like "MILDRED! (Moms middle name) GET HER OUT TO FRESH AIR NOW!!!" Mom needless to say was worried about me thereafter. Another thing I should warn any newcomers to Venice- unless you are going for a month DO NOT TAKE ALL YOUR SUITCASES WITH YOU...ITS A MAZE OF A CITY. :-p Anyway we saw again some churches and some Glass making island. Mora or something...Muran maybe ;-) It is soppouse to be the most well known place to buy anything off glass. I swear I saw glass fully decorated glass aquarium. WEIRD PEOPLE WEIRD. :p

April 5th

We said goodbye to daddy for he would be going towards Zurich to fly home, while my sister and mother came to spend a week at my host parents house. I was in tears the whole train ride home...My little sister I bet was secretly making videos >.> so she could post them on facebook. Speaking of Facebook pictures of my italy trip are up. :)

That ends my Italy adventure and begins my mom and sisters week here.
